Refereely generates AI-based, pre-submission feedback on a manuscript you upload. It is a tool to help authors improve their own work before submission. It is not journal peer review, and it is not legal, professional, or academic advice.
You may only upload work you own or have the right to upload. You retain all intellectual-property rights in your manuscript and in the review we generate for you; we claim no ownership of either. Do not upload third parties’ confidential or unpublished work that you are not authorised to share (for example, a manuscript you are reviewing for a journal).
The feedback is AI-generated and may be incomplete or incorrect. It is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. You are responsible for evaluating the feedback and for disclosing any use of AI in accordance with your target journal’s and institution’s policies.
Don’t abuse the service: no automated scraping, no attempts to overload it, and no uploading of content you lack rights to. We apply usage limits and may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Reviews are paid for with credits. If a review fails to complete, its credit is automatically refunded. Except as required by law, purchased credits are otherwise non-refundable. (Paid purchasing is being added; pricing will be shown at checkout.)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Refereely is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made in reliance on the feedback. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the review in question.
We may update these terms or discontinue the service. You may stop using it and request deletion of your data at any time.
